RACINE COUNTY, WI — A 31-year-old man faces charges after a crash Sunday morning in the village of Raymond that killed a motorcyclist and seriously hurt a 12-year-old girl, reports WISN.

The fatal wreck occurred on a span of County Highway K at West Frontage Road, just west of the I-41/94 ramps.

A preliminary investigation indicates Jonathan Bueche, a resident of Antioch, Illinois, was driving an Amazon truck. At one point, the truck turned in the direct path of a motorcycle, causing a crash that prompted a response from Flight for Life.

Authorities confirmed that the operator of the motorcycle, a 45-year-old man from Oak Creek, was pronounced deceased. His daughter, who was traveling with him at the time, suffered serious injuries.

Bueche, who admitted to smoking marijuana the night before but noted that he always waits four hours before driving, failed a number of field sobriety tests. He has since been charged with “homicide by vehicle – use of a controlled substance.”

An investigation remains ongoing.
