MILWAUKEE, WI — An injury crash involving an ambulance and multiple other vehicles Thursday morning in northwest Milwaukee escalated into a threat of gunfire, according to TMJ4.
Milwaukee Police said the events unfolded near North 94th Street and West Silver Spring Drive, in the Valhalla area, at about 3:30 a.m.
Preliminary details indicate that, for reasons still being investigated, a private ambulance hit several other vehicles. Shortly after, an occupant from one of the cars brandished a firearm and threatened the ambulance driver. Authorities said the suspect fled the scene on foot before authorities arrived.
First responders had more than one person transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, but the number of those hurt have not been confirmed.
An investigation and search for the fleeing suspect remains ongoing.
