RACINE COUNTY, WI — A motorcycle and a passenger vehicle collided Saturday evening in northwest Racine, fatally injuring a 48-year-old man, reports TMJ4.
The crash happened in a residential area neighborhood Carlisle Avenue and English Street, about two blocks north of Horlick Athletic Field. Racine Police Department officers were dispatched to the area shortly after 5:00 p.m.
Authorities have not specified the events leading up to the wreck, but 48-year-old Daniel Vander Leest, a local resident who was operating the motorcycle, was found unresponsive at the scene.
First responders rushed Leest to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The other driver, who remained at the scene after the crash, cooperated with an investigation, which remains ongoing.
