MILWAUKEE, WI — A 52-year-old man was fatally hit by a vehicle Thursday night while operating an electric scooter in northwest Milwaukee, according to TMJ4.
Milwaukee Police confirmed the incident occurred near North 37th Street and West Congress Street, in the Lincoln Creek neighborhood. It was first reported at about 8:45 p.m.
While it’s unclear what led up to the event, preliminary details indicate the man was riding the scooter when he was struck by a car whose driver fled the scene without stopping.
The victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene before first responders were able to transport him to a hospital.
