MILWAUKEE, WI — Two people, including a baby, were injured Tuesday morning due to a two-vehicle wreck in northwest Milwaukee’s Sherman Park neighborhood, reports the Milwaukee Police Department.

The collision took place in the 3100 block of West Locust Street, at the intersection with West Fond du Lac Avenue (Wisconsin State Highway 145) intersection. MPD officers and first responders were dispatched to the area shortly after 9:15 a.m.

According to officials, a 27-year-old was driving southbound on West Fond du Lac Avenue when they ran a red light. Moments after their vehicle entered the intersection, it collided with a vehicle heading westbound on West Locust Street. Preliminary details indicate the second driver had the right of way.

The second driver, 26, and an infant who was a passenger in their vehicle were both transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.

No injuries to the driver of the first vehicle were reported, but they remained behind and cooperated with an investigation, which remains ongoing. No charges have been reported as of this writing.
