OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, WI — A truck slammed into a home early Monday in the Town of Buchanan, fatally injuring the driver, according to NBC26.
Authorities said the major accident occurred at a residence off County Road Z, east of Kaukauna, causing what was initially reported as a loud explosion at about 4:30 a.m.
The circumstances of the wreck remain under investigation, but local officers and fire crews arrived to find the male driver unresponsive inside the striking vehicle.
Authorities confirmed the victim was rushed to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Though the house sustained structural damage, none of its occupants were reported injured.
An investigation into the fatal incident remains underway.
