RACINE COUNTY, WI — A 31-year-old Waterford woman was critically injured Thursday morning when her vehicle ran off a roadway and flipped in the Town of Dover, reports TMJ4.
The accident occurred in the area of Downy Drive and County Road A (Plank Road). Racine County officials said dispatchers received a call from the owner’s Apple Watch, which provided the location of the major crash.
While details remain limited, deputies arrived on the scene to find the woman’s vehicle flipped upside-down and seriously wrecked in a farm field, about fifty yards off of the roadway.
Authorities said the female driver was unconscious with life-threatening injuries when she was found and then flown Froedtert Hospital. No updates on her condition have been released as of this writing.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is being conducted by the Racine County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Racine County Major Crash Assistance Team.
