OZAUKEE COUNTY, WI — Authorities were called to a wreck Thursday night that closed part of southbound Interstate 43 in Milwaukee’s north side, according to 511 Wisconsin.
The accident happened on the southbound lanes of I-43 at the ramp to southbound Wisconsin State Highway 57, near the Grover Heights area. It was first reported by 511 at 7:08 p.m.

Few details have been made available, but a section of southbound I-43 was blocked for over an hour, suggesting a significant crash.

By 8:11 p.m., crews had removed the scene from the roadway and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
