MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A 65-year-old man crashed his car into a Starbucks store late Wednesday morning in West Allis, injuring two people, according to TMJ4.
The accident occurred South 108th Street (Wisconsin State Highway 100), between West Lapham Street and West Orchard Street. West Allis Police and first responders were dispatched to the scene shortly after 11:00 a.m.
While details are limited, an early investigation indicates the male driver accelerated by mistake, causing his vehicle to crash into the building and hit two customers inside. Both victims suffered injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with responding officers.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident, but impairment is not believed to have been a contributing factor.
