FOND DU LAC COUNTY, WI — Two people have died following a motorcycle crash involving another vehicle last Friday evening at a Township of Friendship intersection, according to NBC26.
The Fond du Lac Sheriff’s Office said the fatal accident occurred in the area of Van Dyne Road and Subway Road on September 1.
Preliminary details indicate Paul DeLap was operating a motorcycle with Pamela DeLap as a passenger when they approached an intersection. Authorities say another vehicle, driven by a 17-year-old girl, failed to stop at a stop sign, causing it to collide with the motorcycle.
Paul DeLap, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the wreck, was pronounced deceased at the scene, confirmed officials.
Paula DeLap, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to a local hospital but later succumbed to her injuries.
The teen driver suffered minor injuries, but it was unclear whether she had to be taken to a hospital. As of this writing, no information regarding pending charges has been made available.
An investigation remains ongoing.
