SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI — A 37-year-old woman died late Monday night after a vehicle traveled off a Sheboygan roadway and into Lake Michigan, leaving another woman seriously hurt, reports TMJ4.
The fatal accident near the North Avenue transition into North 3rd Street, in the city’s East Side neighborhood, at about 11:30 p.m.
Sheboygan Police Department officials say the 37-year-old woman was a passenger in a vehicle that failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The vehicle subsequently ran off the roadway and landed in the lake.
The female passenger was pronounced deceased on the scene by first responders. First responders transported the driver, a 25-year-old woman, to an area hospital with major injuries.
An investigation into the cause of the wreck remains underway.
