MILWAUKEE, WI — A 42-year-old man died Wednesday afternoon following a multi-vehicle wreck in northwest Milwaukee that left two young adults injured, according to TMJ4.
The pair of crashes occurred near the intersection of North 64th Street and West Hampton Avenue, in the Hampton Heights neighborhood. Milwaukee Police Department officers and first responders were called to the scene at around 2:30 p.m.
An early investigation indicates the man was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes when his vehicle struck another vehicle occupied by a man and a woman, both 23. The wrong-way vehicle then continued eastbound until it collided with a second vehicle and a tree moments after.
The 42-year-old man was rushed to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries, confirmed officials.
First responders also transported the two 23-year-olds to the hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening. No injuries to anyone in the third vehicle were reported.
