MILWAUKEE, WI — A vehicle caught fire Wednesday morning on Interstate 41/94 near Milwaukee’s Clayton Crest area, according to TMJ4.
The incident was reported at Exit 317 to West Grange Avenue and was first reported by the Wisconsin State Department of Transportation at about 6:15 a.m.
Officials have not confirmed whether a crash or mechanical issues caused the blaze, but part of the interstate was shut down for nearly two hours.
It was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured or had to be transported to a hospital.
TMJ4 noted that a prior crash on I-41 near Ryan Road had also prompted a two-lane closure in the area, which had cleared since, but no other details were provided.
