RACINE COUNTY, WI — Authorities were called to a crash late Monday afternoon that closed part of southbound Interstate 41 near Sturtevant, reports TMJ4.
The accident took place on the southbound lanes of I-41, just past Wisconsin State Highway 20, east of Yorkville. It was first reported by TMJ4 at 4:26 p.m.
The circumstances of the wreck were not immediately clear, but the Racine County Sheriff’s Department said the closure was expected to remain in place for about two hours. At the time of the report, heavy rainfall was reported in the area.
At this time, officials have not specified the number of vehicles involved or any major injuries.
