DODGE COUNTY, WI — A 48-year-old man was hospitalized Friday night after being struck by a vehicle on County Road A near Fox Lake, reports TMJ4.
The incident took place on a span of County Road A just south of County Road AW, just before 9:00 p.m.
According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, the male pedestrian was walking in the highway’s northbound lane when he was hit by a car driven by a 67-year-old woman. Authorities said the victim had been dressed in dark-colored clothing and had been in an unlit span of the roadway during the onset of a storm.
The man, who suffered life-threatening injuries, was rushed to a hospital in Madison.
The driver, who was not reported hurt in the event, stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
No further information has been shared at this time, but the case is being handled by the DCSO.
