GREEN BAY, WI — A 45-year-old driver was arrested early Wednesday evening after crashing their car into a building on Green Bay’s east side, according to WBAY.
Green Bay Police said the incident took place in the 900 block of South Webster Avenue. Officers were called to the scene at about 5:15 p.m.
Preliminary details show the man, who was suspected of Operating While Intoxicated (OWI), crashed his vehicle into a building after running a red light. He then drove away from the scene before authorities arrived.
Authorities said the striking car was located nearly five minutes after the crash, in the area of Porlier and South Clay Streets, and the male driver was subsequently taken into custody.
No major injuries were reported, and the building was said to have been unoccupied at the time of the crash.
An investigation is in progress.
