GREEN BAY, WI — A 51-year-old man died Tuesday morning after a two-vehicle crash on Green Bay’s west side that left a young woman seriously injured, reports NBC26.
The fatal accident occurred in the 1000 block of South Broadway. Green Bay Police Department officers were called to the scene shortly before 7:15 a.m.
An investigation remains underway, but authorities said the man was driving a minivan when they vehicle veered past the center line. Moments later, it collided head-on with a semi-truck.
Despite life-saving measures administered by first responders, the driver of the van, a Green Bay resident, died from his injuries at the scene.
His passenger, a 21-year-old woman, also of Green Bay, was rushed to an area hospital with serious injuries.
It was not immediately clear whether the semi driver, a 50-year-old man from Oconto, was injured.
