WAUKESHA, WI — Authorities were called to the scene of a crash and a reported knife incident Saturday afternoon near a northeast Waukesha business, according to Waukesha Alerts.
The events unfolded in front of the Wendy’s restaurant located at 2112 East Moreland Boulevard (U.S. Highway 18). Three City of Waukesha Police Department units responded to the scene at around 3:46 p.m.

Few details have been released, but officials said a male driver was involved in a crash outside the business. Moments later, another person reportedly approached his vehicle “extremely aggressively,” prompting him to display a knife as self-defense. The other person, who reportedly fled the scene, had not yet been located at the time of the initial report.
Suspect is telling police the supposed victim approached his vehicle extremely aggressively after the crash and displayed the knife out of fear.

It remains unclear how many vehicles were involved in the crash and whether anyone was injured as a result.
