MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A vehicle accident early Sunday kept part of Wisconsin State Highway 241 blocked for hours near east Greenfield, according to 511 Wisconsin.
The crash took place at the intersection with West Edgerton Avenue and was first reported at 2:00 a.m.
While authorities have not said what led up to the wreck, both northbound and southbound lanes of WIS-241 remained blocked for over four hours.

By 6:12 a.m., the northbound lanes reopened to traffic, but the entire southbound highway appeared to stay closed until 6:23 a.m., when only two right southbound lanes were reported blocked.
Shortly before 7:30 p.m., about 5.5 hours after the initial report, crews had cleared the scene from the roadway and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
