MILWAUKEE, WI — An 11-year-old boy was hospitalized with serious injuries Sunday afternoon after being hit by a vehicle while riding a bike in northwest Milwaukee, reports WISN.
Authorities said the incident occurred near West Fond du Lac Avenue and West Melvina Street, in the Grasslyn Manor area, at around 3:15 p.m.
Preliminary details show the boy was crossing Fond du Lac Avenue on his bicycle when the vehicle struck him and then continued eastbound on the road without stopping.
Milwaukee Fire Department crews rushed the victim to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
At this time, no information regarding the fleeing vehicle or hit-and-run suspect has been released.
