RACINE COUNTY, WI — Two people were hospitalized last Thursday afternoon, July 27, after their motorcycles collided with a third vehicle on Wisconsin State Highway 32 in Caledonia, reports FOX 6 Milwaukee.
The wreck occurred on a span of WIS-32 (Douglas Avenue) near WIS-31, at around 1:00 p.m.
According to the Caledonia Police Department, one vehicle was traveling northbound on WIS-32 when it began to turn left into a business, in the path of two southbound motorcycles.
Authorities said the two motorcyclists were unable to avoid the turning vehicle and collided with its passenger side. Both riders suffered life-threatening injuries, and one of the victims had to be flown to a hospital.
The driver of the vehicle, who sustained minor injuries, remained at the scene after the crash.
An investigation was underway, but police do not believe speed or alcohol contributed to the accident.
