MILWAUKEE, WI — Two people were taken into custody following a hit-and-run injury crash early Sunday in northwest Milwaukee, reports TMJ4.
The incident occurred at the intersection of North Sherman Boulevard and West Congress Street, in the city’s Lincoln Creek neighborhood. It was first reported at around 2:00 a.m.
Milwaukee Police said one vehicle was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed on North Sherman Boulevard. As the intersection, it collided with a second vehicle that was making left turn.
The causing vehicle’s two occupants, a 24-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, got into a different vehicle and fled the scene before authorities arrived. They were later located and arrested, and the woman was taken to a local hospital for non-fatal injuries.
The driver of the victim vehicle, a 26-year-old woman, suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a hospital where she was listed in critical condition.
No information regarding pending charges has been reported as of this writing.
