MILWAUKEE, WI — A 32-year-old woman suffered serious injuries Thursday night when she and two other pedestrians were hit by a vehicle in northwest Milwaukee, according to CBS58.
The incident occurred near North 76th Street and West Villard Avenue on July 6, just before 9:40 a.m.
Milwaukee Police said three people were attempting to push a disabled vehicle out of the northbound lanes of 76th Street. At one point, they were hit from the back by a northbound vehicle that had been traveling at a high rate of speed.
The 32-year-old woman, who was pinned between the striking car and the disabled vehicle, was rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities did not say whether any of the other pedestrians had to be hospitalized.
The driver, a 19-year-old man, cooperated with responding officers at the scene.
An investigation was underway.
