MILWAUKEE, WI — A 43-year-old woman was cited Monday night after a collision in Milwaukee’s Layton Park area that left herself and a MPD motorcycle officer injured, according to WISN.

The Milwaukee Police Department said the wreck took place at the intersection of South 35th Street and West Lincoln Avenue.

A preliminary investigation shows the woman was driving northbound on 35th Street when she made a left turn in the path of the officer, a 44-year-old man who was operating a department motorcycle southbound, causing a crash.

The female driver, who remained at the scene, was issued a citation for “failure to yield while making a left turn.”

The officer and the woman, who both suffered non-life-threatening injuries, were transported to a local hospital.
