WASHINGTON COUNTY, WI — A man in his late twenties died Sunday afternoon after his motorcycle was struck by a passenger car on County Highway East near Slinger, according to TMJ4.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said the fatal wreck took place between County Highway CC and Powder Hill Road at about 4:00 p.m.
Investigators say the man and a family member were operating two separate motorcycles eastbound on County Highway East. At one point, the victim was hit head-on by a westbound passenger car that veered into the eastbound lane.
Deputies and first responders arrived on the scene to find the struck motorcyclist unresponsive and lying in the roadway. Despite life-saving measures, the victim, a resident of Milwaukee with Richfield ties, was pronounced deceased at the scene, confirmed officials.
The driver of the car, who remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, was transported to a local hospital to be evaluated for potential minor injuries. Authorities have not yet reported any pending charges against her.
A section of County Highway East was shut down for about four hours during the response and investigation, which remains ongoing.
