WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — A vehicle accident Monday afternoon caused a traffic backup on southbound Interstate 43 in south New Berlin, according to TTWN Milwaukee.
The wreck took place on the southbound lanes before Exit 57 to South Moorland Road and was first reported by TTWN at 2:00 p.m.
It was unclear what led up to the crash or what types of vehicles were involved, but the left lane was closed in the immediate aftermath.
At the time of the initial report, traffic was backed up to 124th Street and the Waukesha County Line.
Local agencies have not confirmed any major injuries connected to the incident at this time.
