MILWAUKEE, WI — Authorities were dispatched to a collision early Friday that shut down part of southbound Interstate 43 in downtown Milwaukee, according to 511 Wisconsin.
The wreck impacted the southbound lanes of I-43 at West Wells Street (Exit 72D), near Marquette University. It was first reported by 511 Wisconsin at 3:35 a.m.
Little information has been shared, but the closure remained in place for about 25 minutes.

Shortly after 4:00 a.m., the accident had been cleared from the roadway and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
