OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, WI — One person died late Tuesday afternoon after their passenger van was struck by a dump truck in north Grand Chute, according to WBAY.
The fatal collision occurred at the intersection of North Lynndale Drive and West Broadway Drive. Grand Chute Police and first responders were called to the scene at about 4:24 p.m.
An early investigation shows a dump truck was heading southbound on North Lynndale Drive when, for reasons still unclear, it hit a passenger van. The impact of the crash caused the dump truck to overturn.
Authorities said first responders arrived to find the driver of the passenger van deceased at the scene.
A passenger in the van and the driver of the truck, both of whom suffered non-life-threatening injuries, were transported by ambulance to area hospitals.
The intersection was shut down for an extended time during the response.
No further information has been shared at this time, as an investigation remains in progress.
