WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — One person was hurt in a crash involving a scooter late Monday in downtown Waukesha, according to Waukesha Alerts.
The accident was reported at in front of People’s Park, a gastropub located at 337 West Main Street. Two police department units and two fire department units were dispatched to the scene at around 11:42 p.m.
Details remain limited, but dispatchers said one person was operating a scooter when they failed to stop at a red light and was involved in a crash.
It was unclear whether the scooter collided with another vehicle or whether the incident was a single-vehicle wreck, but the victim suffered a head injury.
