MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A vehicle caught fire Tuesday morning, closing up to three right lanes on Interstate 894/41 in West Allis, according to TTWN Milwaukee.
The incident occurred on the southbound lanes at Exit 2A to West National Avenue. It was first recorded by TTWN at 9:20 a.m., when only the right shoulder was blocked.
It was not immediately clear whether a collision caused the blaze, but by 9:45 a.m., two right lanes were closed, and traffic had backed up to Lincoln Avenue, one exit back.

At 10:15 a.m., half an hour later, the closure was upgraded to three right lanes. Motorists were warned that the backup had extended down to the Zoo Interchange.
