WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — A 17-year-old boy was seriously injured Tuesday night due to a rollover crash involving multiple vehicles in Delafield, according to FOX 6 Milwaukee.
The accident occurred on the eastbound lanes at Exit 285 to County Road C. It was first reported at about 9:45 p.m.
Officials with the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department said the teen was driving an SUV that collided with a box truck driven by a 44-year-old man. The impact of that crash caused the SUV to overturn and strike another SUV.
First responders had to extricate the teen driver from his SUV before rushing him to Aurora Summit Hospital, where his condition remains undisclosed.
The driver of the box truck and the occupants of the second SUV suffered minor injuries and received treatment on the scene.
Part of eastbound I-94 was shut down for about two hours during the crash clearance and initial investigation.
It was not immediately clear who was at fault in the crash. The WCSD and the Wisconsin State Patrol continue to investigate.
