FOND DU LAC COUNTY, WI — A 7-year-old boy was struck and fatally injured by a vehicle last Friday in southeast Fond du Lac, according to TMJ4.
The incident occurred in the area of Sherwood Boulevard and East Pioneer Road on June 23, at about 6:21 p.m. Fond du Lac Police and members of the City of Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue responded to the scene shortly after.
It was unclear what led up to the crash, but on Sunday, June 25, the Fond du Lac Police Department said the child had died from serious injuries sustained in the event.
No other information has been made available at this time, but an investigation into the crash remains open and ongoing.
As of this writing, no charges have been reported, and authorities have not disclosed any information about the driver.
