MILWAUKEE, WI — Two women died early Wednesday morning when their vehicle collided with a building in northwest Milwaukee during a police pursuit, according to TMJ4.
The events first unfolded in the area of Cesar Chavez Drive and Greenfield Avenue, where Milwaukee Police Department officers observed a vehicle traveling recklessly and blowing past a red light.
Authorities said some time after officers initiated a pursuit, the fleeing vehicle crashed into a building near the corner of North 23rd Street and West Hopkins Street, in the Franklin Heights area.
Both occupants of the fleeing vehicle, a 20-year-old Milwaukee woman and a 28-year-old Greendale woman, were pronounced deceased at the scene.
No one else was reported hurt in the event.
The MPD continues to investigate the fatal incident.
