RACINE COUNTY, WI — A 22-year-old man from Greendale died Friday evening after a motorcycle accident in the village of Yorkville that left a 25-year-old woman injured, reports TMJ4.
The fatal wreck occurred on a span of U.S. Highway 45 (North Colony Avenue) at County Highway A (Plank Road). Racine County dispatchers first received the call at about 6:50 p.m.
Authorities have not disclosed the sequence of events leading up to the crash, but a Harley Davidson motorcycle came to rest in the roadway and a Nissan Altima was found in a farm field. Both vehicles sustained visible damage.
The young man suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased, confirmed the Racine County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver of the Nissan, a 25-year-old Milwaukee resident, was taken to a local hospital. No updates on her condition have been shared.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
