MILWAUKEE, WI — A 23-year-old woman was arrested Saturday night after an MCTS bus crash in northwest Milwaukee that left a toddler critically injured, reports WISN.
Milwaukee Police said the collision occurred at the corner of West Burleigh Street and North Sherman Boulevard, in the city’s Sherman Park area.
Preliminary details show the woman was driving a black Nissan south on Sherman Boulevard when the vehicle struck a Milwaukee County Transit Service bus traveling east on Burleigh Street.
A two-year-old boy who was a passenger in the Nissan suffered critical injuries and was rushed to a local hospital.
It was unclear whether anyone else was hurt, but authorities said the woman was taken into custody following the wreck.
At this time, the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office is reviewing charges.
