News: Pedestrian injured by hit-and-run driver on W Packer Ave in Oshkosh

WINNEBAGO COUNTY, WI — One person was left injured late Friday morning after being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene in north Oshkosh, according to NBC26.

The Oshkosh Police Department said the collision occurred in the 700 block of West Packer Avenue at about 11:44 a.m.

Few details on the circumstances of the event have been disclosed, but officials said a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle described as a navy blue or black BMW SUV of a newer model.

The victim, who suffered injuries determined to be non-life-threatening, was transported to an area hospital.

At this time, investigators are seeking video surveillance footage from anyone who lives in the surrounding area.
