BROWN COUNTY, WI — A 76-year-old man died Sunday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash that injured two young women on Wisconsin State Highway 57 near New Franken, reports WBAY.
The fatal accident happened at the intersection with Bayshore Road just after 12:00 p.m.
According to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, the man was traveling eastbound on Bayshore Road, when, for reasons still unclear, his vehicle struck a car driven by a 20-year-old woman.
The man was pronounced deceased on the scene, confirmed officials.
The female driver and her passenger, another 20-year-old woman, were able to exit their car before it caught fire. First responders transported both women to an area hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening.
Multiple agencies continue to investigate the accident.
