WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — A woman was injured Tuesday morning in a rollover crash involving a USPS mail truck near a Waukesha intersection, according to CBS58.
The accident occurred in the area of West College Area and South West Avenue at around 9:30 a.m.
According to Waukesha Police, a driver in a blue passenger car mistook their gas pedal for the brake and clipped the rear of the mail truck. The impact of the crash caused the truck to overturn.
A former Waukesha County firefighter who witnessed the crash helped the mail truck’s female driver, who suffered injuries but was expected to make a recovery.
At this time, an investigation remains underway, but authorities said the elderly driver of the car may need to re-take a driver’s test. No charges have been reported as of this writing.
