MILWAUKEE, WI — Three people, including two young girls, were injured Tuesday night due to a crash involving a parked vehicle in northwest Milwaukee, reports TMJ4.

The Milwaukee Police Department said the wreck took place near West Appleton Avenue and West Center Street, in the city’s Uptown neighborhood. It was first reported at around 9:00 p.m.

A preliminary investigation indicates a 59-year-old man was driving a white Ford west on Appleton Avenue. For reasons still not disclosed, the Ford collided with an unoccupied black Ford that was parked along the road.

Authorities said the Ford’s two passengers, two girls aged 10 and 12, were both transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and serious injuries, respectively.

The driver of the Ford, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was also taken to an area hospital and later taken into custody.

At this time, the male driver faces unspecified charges currently being reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
