JEFFERSON COUNTY, WI — Two people died Saturday night after a rollover collision on Wisconsin State Highway 106 in Palmyra, according to CBS58.
The accident occurred on the northbound lanes near Calkins Road, northwest of Palmyra Municipal Airport. Deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at about 8:24 p.m.
According to the crash report, one vehicle was heading northbound on the highway, when, for reasons still unknown, its driver lost control, causing the vehicle to skid into a ditch. As the vehicle entered the ditch, it collided with a culvert, which flipped the vehicle and ejected one of the vehicle’s two occupants.
Both victims died from their injuries at the scene, confirmed first responders.
Multiple agencies joined the JCSO at the scene, including the “Palmyra Police Department, Palmyra Fire and EMS, Western Lake EMS, Sullivan Fire and Jefferson County Emergency Communications.”
An investigation remains ongoing.
