BROWN COUNTY, WI — A 46-year-old Hortonville man died Wednesday night after a two-vehicle crash in Lawrence that left a teenager critically injured, reports WBAY.
The fatal collision occurred near the intersection of French Road and Little Rapids Road, at around 9:15 p.m.
According to Hobart-Lawrence Police, a 47-year-old woman from the village of Denmark was driving an SUV northbound on French Road. At one point, the SUV collided with a sedan driven by the victim, causing the SUV to overturn and catch fire.
Officials confirmed the driver of the sedan succumbed to his injuries before he could be transported to a hospital. His passenger, a 14-year-old boy, suffered critical injuries.
After being taken to a local hospital, the driver of the SUV was arrested for suspected “Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Motor Vehicle” as well as “Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated Causing Injury.”
