DANE COUNTY, WI — Authorities responded to a wreck early Friday that blocked up to three lanes on Interstate 39/90 near east Madison, according to 511 Wisconsin.
The accident impacted the northbound interstate at Cottage Grove Road and was first recorded by 511 at 3:16 a.m.

While it was not immediately clear what caused the crash, three left lanes were initially reported closed.
By 3:38 p.m., over twenty minutes later, the closure had been shifted to the three right lanes.
At 6:36 a.m., nearly three hours later, crews had cleared the roadway and all lanes were announced reopened to traffic.
