MILWAUKEE, WI — Two people, including a teenager, were hospitalized Tuesday night after a two-vehicle wreck in northwest Milwaukee, reports FOX 6 Milwaukee.
Milwaukee Police said the incident occurred near North 76th Street and West Mill Road, in the Menomonee River Hills neighborhood. Officers were dispatched to the scene shortly after 10:00 p.m.
Preliminary details show one vehicle was traveling eastbound on West Mill Road when it struck a vehicle heading southbound on North 77th Street, causing the second vehicle to overturn. It was unclear which driver was at fault, but the driver of the first vehicle exited their vehicle and fled the site on foot.
First responders had to extricate the driver and a passenger, two women aged 52 and 19, respectively, out of the second vehicle. Both victims were transported to an area hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening.
At this time, the Milwaukee Police Department continue to investigate and search for the fleeing driver.
