RACINE COUNTY, WI — One person had to be airlifted to a hospital Tuesday afternoon after a wreck in Mount Pleasant that left another person injured, reports TMJ4.
The collision occurred at the corner of Washington Avenue and Oakes Road. Mount Pleasant Police were dispatched to the scene at around 2:36 p.m.
Officials have not shared the circumstances of the incident, but two vehicles were involved, and responding officers immediately administered aid to two victims.
One driver, a woman, was transported by Flight for Life to an area hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.
Another driver who suffered non-life-threatening injuries was also taken to a hospital.
Authorities had the intersection closed during the response and initial investigation. At this time, the cause of the crash is being attributed to “operators’ actions,” though impairment is not believed to have been a factor.
