MILWAUKEE, WI — Two people were taken into custody Monday afternoon after a short police pursuit lead to a crash in northwest Milwaukee, reports TMJ4.
The wreck occurred near the intersection of North 15th Street and West Walnut Street, in the city’s Triangle neighborhood. The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office said the events unfolded at about 1:00 p.m. when a deputy spotted a car that was linked to an investigation.
Preliminary details indicate a pursuit was initiated but was quickly terminated when the suspect vehicle collided with a car that was parked near the intersection.
While three occupants from the suspect vehicle fled on foot, the MCSO said two were apprehended. At this time, the third suspect has not been located.
No injuries were immediately reported, but officials noted that deputies recovered several items from the vehicle, including “an assault rifle, cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl.
An investigation remains in pogress.
