MILWAUKEE, WI — A 40-year-old man died Sunday afternoon after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 in west Milwaukee, according to TMJ4.
The accident occurred on the westbound lanes approaching Exit 309B to North 25th Street, past the Marquette Interchange. By 3:30 p.m., the entire freeway was shut down as emergency crews responded to the scene.
Details remain limited, but the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office said a vehicle struck the median, resulting in the victim’s death.
By 7:07 a.m., more than two and a half hours later,TMJ4 crews reported all lanes had been reopened to normal traffic.
The cause of the wreck was not immediately clear, and no other injuries have been reported.
