SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI — A 30-year-old Kewaskum man died Thursday night after a police pursuit ended in a crash on Wisconsin State Highway 28 near Random Lake, reports TMJ4.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office said the fatal wreck occurred near the intersection with State Highway 144.
Preliminary details indicate deputies spotted a traffic violation and tried to pull over the offending vehicle, whose driver failed to stop, prompting a chase. At one point, the fleeing driver lost control of their vehicle, which overturned.
The driver of the fleeing vehicle was pronounced deceased on the scene, confirmed officials.
At this time, a joint investigation is being carried out by the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
