KENOSHA COUNTY, WI — A vehicle rear-ended a squad car Saturday night, damaging a total of two police vehicles in Pleasant Prairie, reports FOX 6 Milwaukee.
Authorities said the incident occurred on March 4, on a span of Wisconsin State Highway 31 (Green Bay Road).
The PPPD released a statement on Facebook indicated one squad car was hit from behind by another driver while at the scene of a. traffic stop. The impact of that crash sent the squad car into the back of a second police vehicle.
No serious injuries were reported, but officials took the opportunity to remind the public of Wisconsin’s MOVE OVER/SLOW DOWN law that mandates drivers to switch lanes or reduce speed to ensure a “safety zone” for emergency vehicles with lights flashing.
An investigation was being handled by the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department.
