MILWAUKEE, WI — A man was arrested and hospitalized Tuesday morning after a police pursuit led to a crash in Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood, reports WISN.
Milwaukee Police said the wreck occurred near East Becher Street and South Kinnickinnic Avenue.
According to authorities, officers were in the area of 7th Street and Rogers Street when they attempted a traffic stop on a male driver, who was determined to be a suspect in a separate investigation. A chase was initiated when the driver failed to stop. At one point, he lost control of his vehicle, which hit a utility pole and caused a power outage.
The suspect, 33, was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
No other vehicles appear to be involved, and no other injuries were reported.
