MILWAUKEE, WI — A 68-year-old woman suffered serious injuries late Sunday night due to a pedestrian crash in Milwaukee’s Uptown neighborhood, reports TMJ4.
The Milwaukee Police Department said the incident occurred in the area of North 53rd Street and Center Street at about 11:37 p.m.
Few details have been disclosed, but an early investigation indicates the woman was crossing Center Street on foot when she was struck by a vehicle.
The victim, who sustained life-threatening injuries, was rushed to a nearby hospital.
The driver of the car, a 38-year-old man, was taken into custody. MPD officials said the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office is currently reviewing charges against the suspect.
